Mallard
SKU: PM01
More than any other duck, Mallards have adapted to human habituation, sometimes nesting under backyard shubs of homes near ponds and lakes. Males have the green, flashy head; females are cryptic and do all the incubation and chick rearing. After incubation, females lead their brood to nearby water. On land, they are highly adaptable, eating grasshoppers and bread scraps at parks. Each bird comes with an Audobon Centennial Medallion - 100 Years of Conservation.
