Chirita Shenandoah Sleigh Bells
This particular chirita is one of our own hybrids, and has chirita sinensis as one of its parents. This is evident in the beautiful silver veining on the fleshy, oval leaves. The blossoms are lavender blue with golden threads in the throat. The Shenandoah Sleigh Bells is a plant that is forgiving of some neglect, yet loves you anyway, blooming regularly. It's a keeper.

I do not have my own photo of the flower for this plant, but as far as foliage goes, it simply does not get any better than this. The C. sinensis 'Hisako' (Nakayama) has a stunning rosette of silver veined dark green leaves. The flowers are lavender blue. It's simply a beautiful plant.

Chirita Stardust
