The Ocean Wave pattern was originally a block pattern. We don't know when this lovely pattern featuring curves to evoke undulating waves came into being. We just know that it's lovely! The beautiful waves include a star print, a rich floral, and two deep rich colors-- almost as deep as the ocean!

This quilt is obviously a scrapper's quilt, one that has been made from leftover scraps of material that are too small to be fashioned into another pattern. Scrapper's quilts have quite a substantial following!
