The Center Diamond pattern is one of the oldest and most beloved of all Amish quilt patterns. It is very popular in Lancaster County. It is even the inspiration for the Almost Amish logo!
This Center Diamond is done in traditional Amish colors of barn red, hunter green, and purple, and black. It is reminiscent of the clothing colors they wear.
The piecing is very good and the quilting is superior with an average count of 8-9 stitches per inch. This is one expertly made wall hanging! Close up view below:
Back is done in purple. Just look at the meticulous quilting on this back:
The back features an inside pocket for a rod measuring a scant 2" wide and runs along the length of the wall hanging. No rod or dowel stick is included.
