Okay, this may be a bit fanciful, but this finial shape definitely reminds us of the snowdrop-- the real flower from which mythical fairies get dew drops!
The bottom twists off to slip the paper towel roll on the rod. Then just screw back on again. It's easy as pie and pretty, too!
