It's time to Dutch-ify your Christmas tree this year! What in the world does that mean? It's the expression the Pennsylvania Dutch use among themselves to signify that they're using the beautiful decorative images that come from their heritage. This Christmas ball is just that. It uses the Pennsylvania Dutch motifs of hearts and tulips as a border, and then of course depicts a buggy about to enter a covered bridge in the snow. Come home to that wonderful Pennsylvania Dutch Christmas, if only in your heart!
The Pennsylvania Dutch include two groups: the plain and fancy. The Amish are one of the groups known as the plain Dutch. For a more thorough explanation of the word "Dutch," please check out our book How to Speak DUTCH-ified English, Wolume 1(Vun).
A gold-toned string approximately 3" long hangs from the ball.
